"Huey Cooper"

Corner of Acline & Main
Alex Palkovich, 2014

About

The Huey Cooper sculpture was installed at the corner of North Acline and Main Street in the Lake City Historical District on September 10, 2014 by Alex Palkovich. Huey was always cheerful, and spent most days on a low, cement wall at the corner of Acline and Main Streets, where passers-by could rub his lucky rabbit's foot for a nickel. Huey forever holds out his rabbit's foot, and there's a slot in his right pocket for luck-seekers to deposit their nickels in the sculpture.
