The Lake City Community Theatre proudly presents its children’s production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr., running May 29–31. This family-friendly musical brings to life the magical world of Willy Wonka and his mysterious chocolate factory through the talents of local young performers.
Based on the classic story by Roald Dahl, the show follows the journey of Charlie Bucket, a kind-hearted boy who discovers a golden ticket hidden inside a Wonka chocolate bar. Along with four other children, Charlie wins a once-in-a-lifetime tour of the factory, where imagination runs wild and unexpected lessons are learned.
Audiences can expect colorful characters, lively choreography, and beloved songs inspired by the classic 1971 film, along with new musical numbers designed especially for young performers. The production showcases the creativity, dedication, and teamwork of the theatre’s youth cast, making it a highlight of the community’s spring season.
