Who are we? What do we remember? What is important to us? What story do we want to tell?
Stories tell us who we are. They build connections. They shape community. There are so many stories to tell, and so many ways to tell them – through our voices, analog and digital, media, paintings and song. We are our stories. Let’s share.
Artist Natalie Daise is ArtFields’ first artist-in-residence and is using this time to explore the pairing of storytelling and painting. Her goal is to paint a series of portraits of the people who share their stories with her.
This exhibition, "Tell Me a Story," will begin with warm white walls full of paintings and photos from Natalie’s own collection. As visitors share stories and photos, the exhibition will transform to reflect the stories and memories of our community.
Join us for opening night on Friday, January 16th from 6 – 8PM to see the starting point of this powerful exhibition. Visit throughout the duration of Natalie’s residency to see the progress and be sure to attend one of her storytelling sessions so you can be part of the final version of this exhibition.
