Old Ways by New Means is a two-part exhibition featuring works by Megan Mosholder at TRAX Visual Art Center and works by Miguel Gonzalez at Jones Carter Gallery. This exhibition highlights the ways that activities such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and music are being expanded through the intervention of technology. This fusion of process brings attention to a completely different understanding of creative production and contemporary society. Artists making work of their times, for their times, are artists who saturate in their present surroundings, aware of the past, but not trapped by its confines. In a global moment of progress and expanded understanding, Old Ways by New Means brings the experience of dynamic modernism to Lake City, South Carolina.
Visit the exhibition at Jones-Carter Gallery starting on June 20th and TRAX Visual Art Center starting on July 11th.
Join us for a reception on July 11th from 6 – 8PM that celebrates the exhibitions at Acline Studios, Jones-Carter Gallery, and TRAX Visual Art Center.
